So of course when I was packing for vacation I made sure to place my camera in the bag. I feel like every time I go on a trip now a days I make sure to have my little sidekick in hand. I knew that coming to Florida would have advantages, not just for the amazing suntan I obtained, but for that golden hour on the beach!!! If you don't know what the golden hour is, it's like the best time ever to take photos for photographers. It's that last glimpse of the sun before it sets for the evening. Seeming that it was ONLY 55 degrees when we shot these, my sister was a trooper for letting me drag her into the ocean. We shot on the exact same beach two years ago for her senior photos and omg what a transformation. This just puts it in perspective to not give up on yourself and to keep striving to do better. To say we killed it on this photo shoot is an understatement. Talk about a glow up!!
EQUIPMENT: Canon 6D, Sigma Art 35mm, Rooke & Rover Crew: Hauxley presets
So as you can see from above we have approved in not only my photography skills, but her modeling skills as well.
Charlie and Eli were great to work with. Bracing the cold like champs, they played around with one another and had fun. They took direction very well, even when I requested they play tag. The Brown County State Park was a great backdrop for this shoot and I am so glad they decided to travel all the way down south for it!
So If I had to rate this year's sessions I would have to place this one on my top 5. I am all about the simplicity of scenery, and this random field off the side of the road did just that. With a couple of months emailing back-and-forth, Claire and I finally agreed on a date that would be semi warm and sunny. Claire and Nic did great in front of the camera, and I could see them start to loosen up as we kept taking photos. So thank you to you both for traveling all the way from Carmel for your pictures! I can't wait to shoot your wedding next fall!
Jessa and Nic know how to throw a wedding. It was a stress-free atmosphere and so much love in the air. Throughout the whole day it seemed like everyone was having a blast, even if we had a little rain fall on us. I won’t bore you with all the details, but I will let the photos tell their story. . .
